First and foremost, welcome new members! Yay! :D

I hope everyone is enjoying...err, surviving?....their summer! Whew,
the heat!

Anywho, we just wanted to share an article covering Prof. Paul
Gorski's summer class titled Animal Rights and Humane Education. The
first of its kind at Mason! Dr. Gorski has extensive experience in
social justice, focusing on topics such as: racism, poverty, and
gender. He is also a founder of EdChange.org, a place to "develop free
social justice resources," as mentioned in the article.

Thanks to Dr. Gorski, the Animal Rights Collective had the opportunity
to present on the first day of class regarding our events and
activities as a recognized student organization as well as our
personal stories as vegans/vegetarians. We hope that this is not the
last time the class is offered! Below is the link to the article by
GMU Spirit Magazine.
