Lickety Split - female, 6 years old, 60lbs
Lickety Split recently came into our care and has been through a lot, She’s being treated for chronic ear issues and occasional digestive upset, but her spirit is just as bright as ever! She’s a resilient girl who loves treats, enjoys walks, and responds well to gentle handling. Lickety Split has met other dogs at the shelter, she does best with gentle and polite friends.
Lickety Split was an absolute star at a recent adoption event! She calmly laid next to her handler the entire time, politely greeted everyone, and thoroughly enjoyed all the attention she received. Confident and relaxed, she showed no signs of fear or nervousness and walked without pulling. Everyone who met her instantly fell in love, even if they weren’t in the market to adopt.
Medical Notes:
- Chronic ear issues (otitis) requiring ongoing care. She will need bilateral TECA surgery and luckily, a partnering hospital of BARCS will be doing 1 of 2 of the surgeries.
- Fully vaccinated, altered, and microchipped
Nala would thrive in a calm, patient home with consistent routines and gentle handling. She’s not a high-energy, jump-all-over-you dog. She’s a girl who needs love, patience, and understanding as she continues to build her confidence. With the right home, she’ll blossom into the sweet, loyal companion she’s meant to be.
