Let Toothless Know Love
At 13 years old and just 6 pounds, Toothless has already lived a lifetime. This tiny gentleman came to us after surviving his entire life as an outdoor cat. When he arrived, he was battling a severe upper respiratory infection and desperately needed TLC.
And TLC he received.
Toothless has since turned the corner and revealed who he truly is, a sweet, affectionate little biscuit baker who melts into your hands and leans in for love. He has a wonderful appetite, has gained 1.3 pounds since intake, and greets us with a bright eye and gentle affection. Despite everything, he is making it work and showing us that he still finds joy in the simple things.
Unfortunately, further testing has not brought good news. Bloodwork and urine results are indicative of renal failure. He also has loose stool, a heart murmur, a suspected elevated T4 consistent with hyperthyroidism, an ouchy mouth, and lingering URI symptoms even after treatment. His little body has been through so much.
But here is the important part. Toothless is still comfortable. He is eating. He is affectionate. He is baking biscuits. He is present.
He deserves to spend whatever time he has left in a warm bed, not a kennel. After surviving 13 years outdoors, he should not have to say goodbye in a shelter.
We are urgently seeking a hospice rescue partner who can provide comfort care and give Toothless the peaceful, loving retirement he so deeply deserves. His needs may be medical, but his heart is pure gold.
