Surrendered with her sister after the person could no longer care for them due to health issues. While she may be a little more reserved at first than her sister, Hixley is incredibly affectionate once she feels safe and comfortable. She has a gentle, sweet nature and loves soaking up attention from people she trusts. Hixley is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the time and reassurance she needs to fully blossom into the happy girl we know she is.

heartworm treatment and are on exercise restriction.
Macklemore was found as a stray and is a crazy‑fun, exciting dude who lives life at full speed… right up until he decides it’s time for a power nap. He’s adventurous, loves toys and treats, and absolutely thrives around other dogs. Beneath all that zest, he’s got a calm, sweet side too — especially when he’s working on enrichment or settling in with his favorite people. He’s the perfect mix of goofy energy and gentle charm.

ADOPTION DOGS READY TO GO & AVAILABLE FOR RESCUE PULL The dogs listed below have been on our adoption floor for over a week, are fully vetted, and are now available for rescue pull here at Lexington County Animal Services.
We are currently EXTREMELY FULL, and these wonderful dogs are being overlooked. Every dog listed is SPAYED/NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, up to date on ALL vaccines and preventatives, and ready to leave immediately.
If your rescue is interested in pulling any of these dogs, please reach out as soon as possible. We can provide videos upon request and can issue health certificates if needed.
