Subject: Join Us in Helping Allo Thrive!!! - Baltimore, MD
- Rescue Needed -

Allo - unaltered female, 4yo, 27.8lbs

Allo came to us on 3/19 due to an animal control violation. She was found in a shed, crated among shavings and trash with no water. Despite this rough start, she is incredibly sweet, friendly, and eager to connect with people.

She’s still learning how to walk on a leash, but she’s already making great progress. In the play yard, she shows high arousal around the hose, she may run at it or jump when the water is on, so caution is advised when using water near her. Once the water is off, she quickly settles down.

During her dog test, she had a brief evaluation due to medical considerations. She greeted gentle dogs politely, coexisted calmly with small dogs, and avoided overexcited initiations from other dogs.

Allo’s coat is currently dull and coarse with small patches of hair loss on her nose, ear, and a couple of spots on her body. She also has an abnormal posture in her hind end, likely related to luxating patella in her left hind leg, causing her to walk with her pelvis tucked under and knees angled outward. This may be genetic or the result of long-term crating and poor muscle development. Despite these challenges, she is healthy overall, and a full medical summary can be provided upon request.

Please let us know if your organization can help!

Thank you,
