Milo is an approx. 4-year-old Akita mix, around 50 pounds, intact. He came to us after being removed from his owner’s property due to multiple citations for lack of proper shelter and water.

He’s unsure of the world right now. Timid, skittish, and struggling to trust. Because of this, we have not been able to safely restrain him for a heartworm test. ( fear aggression showing - do not want to force a bite)

With other dogs, Milo comes on strong—he postures, asserts dominance, and will mount. He’s going to need slow, structured introductions and an experienced handler who understands behavior and is willing to put in the work.

Once he realizes you aren't a threat, he welcomes slow petting.
