Subject: Dog Blast 06/29/26 - Dogs Available For Rescue

Hello Rescue Partners,
Please see the attached PDF featuring six dogs that are currently unavailable for adoption but available for rescue placement at this time.
I've included all of their medical records for your review, along with a video of the group together so you can observe their personalities and how they interact with each other.
Below are brief notes on each dog:
Yokie
Yokie was surrendered by his owner due to two reported bite incidents following his adoption. Since arriving at the shelter, staff observations have been notably different. Although Yokie is considered a bite case, he has not displayed behaviors consistent with a dog requiring a 25b designation. He has been engaging, social, and responsive with people, and he enjoys treats, walks, and human interaction.
Prince
Prince was returned due to a reported bite incident. Since being back at the shelter, staff have noted a much more positive presentation. They report, “I have seen no signs of a 25b from this dog. He still is a little head shy, but enjoys walks, treats, and just being around people.” Overall, Prince has shown himself to be social and manageable in the shelter environment.
Benji
Benji was surrendered due to reactivity and has a history of multiple bite incidents. Upon arrival, he attempted to bite several staff members. After settling in, he has shown himself to be a very shy, uncertain, and stand‑offish dog. He often looks for an escape route when approached and remains very quiet. Despite his history and fearfulness, he has not shown aggression during routine shelter interactions. Benji requires slow, patient handling and time to build trust.
Vanu
Vanu came in as a stray and bit the person who found her. Since being at the shelter, she has been fearful and avoids human contact. She is able to be handled, but must remain cautious at all times. Vanu also tends to form a strong bond with one person, showing selective trust once she feels secure.
Teysi
Teysi came in as a stray and presented as fear-aggressive upon arrival, attempting to bite when approached. She is slowly warming up but still requires slow, cautious handling. Her progress is steady, but she remains a dog who needs patience, space, and gentle interaction.
Baby
Baby was surrendered by her owner after their apartment burned down. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was fearful and did not allow any human contact. Since then, she has warmed up significantly and now enjoys head rubs and spending time in her own space. Baby has made meaningful progress and continues to become more comfortable around staff.
If you have any questions or are interested in pulling any of these dogs, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Best regards,
