Violet 115209 - female, altered,8M/24lbs, HW negative
Behavior eval: 9/29 at the front of the kennel, no growling, leashed up easily and walked outside. Did not react to the dogs in D4. Outside she was very affiliative, climbing in my lap, relaxed waggy behavior with me and seeing other people. She has also been out with AB with no issues. She can be made adoptable after intake is completed and moved to D6. 9/26: Spent some time with Violet. She initially is very nervous to get leashed up. She seems to be very stressed out by the other dogs in D4. She may still be decompressing, but she is definitely going to need extra enrichment or kennel meds. She has been pacing in her kennel. Besides that, she is a very sweet and curious girl. Tail wags and all, she enjoyed being outside. She low growls when people enter D4 and approach too quickly but shows no aggression otherwise. She loves exploring outside but I would not put it past her to try an escape if given the opportunity. I am going to put her as a behavior underdog as she has not showed signs of aggression but is very shy. Macona lunged at her in her kennel as I was putting her back and she didn't not react. Could be great in a foster home!
Behavior notes: 9/29: Super happy and friendly at intake, giving everyone hugs and kisses, did fine for intake.- 9/24 - was at the front, took treats but once I opened the door she started whale eyeing then growling and jumped towards me, which made me jump and then she got scared and went on her bed. Continued growling at me. It seems out of fear but not sure if she will allow handling anytime soon. I will place a treat bucket on her kennel. 9/23: Growling, cannot touch. Takes food very well and starts to get some trust but still will not let me pet her. Starting stress meds, will recheck on Friday when I come back. 9/23: One of our fosters and another family who was here to see our adoptable dogs saw her at the gate - said it looked like someone broke our play yard gate to put her inside the fence - they were able to get her in the car and ride her back up to the adoptions building. We attempted to scan her for a chip and she snapped at me.
Intake date: 9/23, abandoned at shelter
