Can you imagine?  This poor fellow was found tethered to a tree with a broken leg, alone and in a great deal of pain. Such disrespect and indifference! 88 pounds, HW positive. 

He will need orthopedic surgery or amputation.

This big boy was found at a nearby local business tethered to a tree We don't know how he came to be in this situation, but our hearts break at the thought of an owner leaving their injured pet when they are in such a vulnerable condition. He was alone, in a great deal of pain, and unable to walk much more than a short distance without support We sincerely hope this boy will be able to get the help he needs from a rescue organization with the resources to help him.

Medical: P NWB RF upon intake. RF is swollen; P is extremely painful on RF and radiographs/exam could not be obtained without sedation. Sedated with Dexdomitor 0.5 mg/ml - 1.2 ml IM; Buprenorphine 1.8 mg/ml - 0.22 ml IM. Radiographs taken - Fx right Radius/Ulna. CBC/Chem/HW - HW positive. Administered Antisedan 5 mg/ml - 1.2 ml IM. Administered Carprofen 50 mg/ml - 3.5 ml SQ. Rx: Carprofen 175 mg PO SID x 14 days; Gabapentin 400 mg PO BID x 14 days. Recommend rescue - P will need orthopedic surgery or amputation.
