Montgomery County Animal Shelter
She was an owner surrender that was terrified at the shelter, and the ladies at the shelter really liked her so they contacted us about her. She is sweet and does well with Natalia's cat. She was fine with other dogs at the shelter and did fine with both of my dogs, but she seems to prefer slower/controlled introductions. Once she is introduced to the dogs, she is fine playing outside or being together inside. She appears to have little dog syndrome when on a leash or if you are carrying her and she sees another dog. So, she is working on basic manners and commands so once she knows those, they can be used to redirect her with treats on walks. She's still young and being fostered by our medical team member/incoming Medical Coordinator - Natalia, so she's in good hands. She's doing well with house-breaking and is not destructive, so she has already been able to leave her out of her crate when left alone! She is very loving and loves to be with/held by people any time she can, so she is working on some independence/confidence training. But who knows...some adopter may come along looking for an arm accessory, and heads up adoptions committee - she would be perfect for that!
