anic compilier (shell ?)

do I am using a distro called Sitaz , and I installed anic using hg.
I used make then went to root and make install. The path must not get
added because when I run anic I get nothing so I have to run ./anic in
the the anic dir (not a big deal) does anic have a shell to type in
commands ? also the man pages don't come up but the man is located in /
usr/share/man/man1
