surprised to see this on here, as i think its alot tamer than most. although im sure people who dont enjoy what this site offers, would be fairly disturbed/scared by it. phenomenal and also funny movie, i dont enjoy comedy and this isnt a comedy but i found the dry humour very amusing. i love how sarcastic mary is. i love katharine isabelle, have watched this countless times now.
Over the last few weeks, you may have noticed my absence from some of the Masses. It is now time to share with you that I have been diagnosed with abdominal cancer. Obviously this came as a great shock to my family and me as I was feeling fine until very recently.
This past week I was admitted to Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven Hospital for a few days for more testing as the doctors decide on a course of treatment. They have told me already that the treatment will be intense and advised against trying to do priestly ministry and parish administration at the same time.
I have asked Archbishop Coyne for a medical leave of absence, which he has granted. Although during this time I will remain Pastor of Saint John Bosco, I am confident that with Fr. Eduar Gutierrez as Temporary Administrator, Msgr. Walker, Msgr. Schmitz, Deacon Bob, the entire parish staff, and so many faithful volunteers, the parish will keep moving forward doing what Christ asks of us. The Archdiocese will also be of assistance if necessary.
