thisis only for guitar pleyers really, but which muse song do u fing hardest to play on guitar? for me its stockholm, not because its difficult, but its really fast all the way through, and my wrist just aches loads by the end of the verse.

The riff to Hysteria is a bit of a bastard, though. So's the solo, and basically the whole song takes ages to nail. And the fast all-string thrashing on Plug In Baby's chorus is rather challenging, I think. Citizen Erased... hmmm.... the little clean solos during the quiet parts I find annoying too...

I know, but it seems that people are always asking about the 'hardest this' 'hardest that' here. And I smell subliminal competition. Maybe that wasn't the intention here. It just makes me laugh a bit.

The Chord changes on the pickin bit on in the verse for sunburn if playin the piano on guitar is really hard at first, u soon get used to it i suppose tho, then thats kinda the same with the pre chorus to screenager, thats tricky...

The Newborn solo really easy. I haven't really attempted many Muse songs, I have found that Bliss is trs hard, as like most songs because it is uber-fast and no matter how fast I try to play it, it always sounds wrong simply coz I am not quick enough.

All of muse's songs are difficult to play on guitar to begin with, I don't take guitar lessons and I haven't been playing for years but I like to run before I can walk and play all the cool stuff without the basics . But anyways, i've only mastered Hysteria but I think Microcuts is a bitch to get used to.

muse are easy to play i dont play them much plus they never sound right when i do cos im missing all his fancy shit stockholm is one of the easiest, one of the most structured, i play more SOAD, slipknot and the like these days

So, i've been playing guitar about a year and few months, or so. Started practising seriously like 11 months ago, i can play easy song's like Smells like teen spirit and Holiday (by green day) i also know how to play plug in baby, but i'm still practicing! It's going great, can play at the right speed and stuff

I've only taken up the guitar recently myself so I'm in a similar situation. From what I've tried... Dead Star, Supermassive Blackhole, Starlight, Hysteria, Fury, Assassin and Supremacy are all quite simple. Yes Please is probably the easiest I've tried so far. I hardly know all Muse songs on guitar, I can play a handful, but those two are definitely not the easiest, probably near the top actually. Stuff like Guiding Light, Uprising and Soldier's Poem are way easier.

Definetly not. The bassline of Hysteria may seem tricky at first, but 20-minutes of practice and you've pretty much got it. Citizen is quite easy, the only hard part it has is the quiet bridge on the bottom three strings.

Atomic Assassin's right methinks, Supermassive is probably the most simple, I'd say. Along with Starlight mebbe? The others are all pretty simple too, the chords in Dead Star can be a little fiddly at first, I suppose

Hysteria's pretty simple (unless you want to try and play the riff too, that'd be tricky for a beginner), but bits of CE definitely aren't, I still find the solo a tricky bastard to play! Knights is ok up until the riff

Yes I get that they are pretty easy, you can play them fairly easily once you've got proficient with alternative picking ect. It's just on the scale of an easy to hard Muse song, putting them near the bottom is ridiculous when stuff like Uprising is clearly massively easier. Starlight, Supermassive, TSP, Panic Station ect are all way easier too.

But Hysteria is easy in relation? Agreed about KoC, that song isn't too hard, the hardest part is the picking just before the final riff. Supermassive is easy except for the solo, but that's just effects anyway.

And don't start on the acoustic in my opinion, electric guitars have more forgiving strings and thinner necks generally, they don't hurt your fingers as fast before you get the chance to build up callouses. Having said that, spanish/nylon acoustics are good for beginners, they're easier on the fingers.

"Time Is Running Out" was one of the last songs to be written and recorded for Absolution.[8] It was influenced by Michael Jackson,[8] and went though numerous changes before a final version was decided on.[9]

According to Matt they used an electric piano that U2 used on New Year's Day, the piano was recorded and then they added effects.[5]On the Absolution "making of" dvd, the band are seeing rehearsing the song starting with the section found before the second chorus of the final track.

During the second verse, a wagon wheel being hit was synchronised with the snare drum. The wheel is a very old one that Bellamy and Howard found whilst taking a walk during the recording of Absolution.[4] Clicks and claps made by Tom Kirk and the band by clicking their fingers and clapping their hands against their laps can be heard throughout the track. A video of this clicking and clapping is on the Absolution UK bonus 'making of' DVD.

There is an acoustic version of the song that is thought to have a different bass line. The song was covered on the 14th of May on Radio 1 by the Feeling, with some lyrical differences. A recording is available from here and here.

Time is Running Out is the 2nd most performed Muse song, with Plug in Baby being first. Very few shows from 2003 and onwards exist at which Time Is Running Out wasn't played, usually being omitted at promotional gigs (post Absolution era) and by-request shows.
