Howdy. When I try to install angular-in-memory-wep-api --save, it doesn't work and gives messages on the CLI: "6 vulnerabilities require manual review and cannot be updated". I found the website with the codes, but I'm still an Angular beginner and it's meaningless to me. I tried npm audit fix, but that didn't work. Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

This doesn't look like a problem with that library. If you go to an empty folder somewhere outside your project and npm i angular-in-memory-web-api, you'd probably succeed with installation.

What I suspect is that you have other issues in your project. Can you post the output of "npm audit"?

You think it could be this issue? This is the tutorial and command I am trying to do.

That could be the issue too. Hard to say without looking at any code though. Did you try changing the version to whichever Angular you use?

No, I just installed the version the tutorial said to install. That was a month ago. There could be a new version.

Here's a screenshot of npm audit.

Well, not sure what to advise you here. As said, I can't see what you have. Maybe the best thing is to try from scratch, install the tutorial in a new directory and play with it there.

Hi George,

Could you tell me the steps you took from point zero?
If I can reproduce this I can have it fixed.

Regards
Sander

I did the angular tour of heroes tutorial and installed everything successfully up to HTTP, when it wouldn't install angular-in-memory-web-api --save.

Hi George,

Perhaps we can start with taking a look at your `package.json`? Can you show us that?

Also, can you run `ng version` in your project, and copy/paste it's results?

Hi George,

Tried it with your versions, and I have no problem installing. I suspect you have a corrupted runtime.
To fix this go to the command line, inside your project and run the following commands:

(assuming you are on windows?)

rd /s node_modules
npm install
npm install angular
-in-memory-web-api --save

and report back after that.
(if you are not on windows, change the first command to:
rm -fr node_modules
)

Regards
Sander

Hi George,

I have no explanation for you. If I take your settings and I run them on my local windows 10 machine, it runs as expected without a single glitch. I the meantime I tried a number of permutations based on the github issue, but still, I could not reproduce.

Okay, thanks for your help anyway. It's just for testing without a browser. I think I'll just keep going with the tutorial.
