I have this very simple test. However when I run with the parameters 'debug protractor_conf.js' the test is no paused where I have 'browser.debugger();' hence I cannot view console output.

describe('homepage', function() {

    it('should load the page', function() {
        browser.get('#/login');
        browser.debugger();

        var url = browser.getCurrentUrl();

        var version = element(by.binding('version'));

        browser.debugger();

        expect(version.getText()).toEqual('1.0.0');
    },10000);
});

You might like to check this Protractor issue:
TL;DR: make sure you are depending on version 0.20.1 of Protractor.

Thanks Matt, I had already checked that, but it didn't help. Are your running protractor on Windows?

No, on a Mac. Have also run tests on Ubuntu.

Hello Dinesh, I'm getting the same issue, browser.debugger() fails to pause test. Did you ever find a way to fix this?
