ddslick (jquery select box) with angular directive

I'm looking for a good select box to nice jquery dropdown menu style plugin. DDslick looks pretty... slick :)

I found this nice example of using it as a directive: SO

However, the binding of the model on the new dropdown menu does not seem to work. 

I can't figure this one out. Any help would be amazing!

You should check out my project, SelectBoxIt.  It is more feature rich and has less bugs than DDSlick.
