Batch update/save/edit with Angular resource?

Is this possible?

Use case:

There is an array of objects returned by the angular resource 

Each object has an "order" property

The UI allows the objects to be reordered via drag/drop

When the items are reordered, the "order" properties gets renumbered

All the items have to be persisted

I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

I actually figured this out... In case anyone wants to know, the way to do it is create a custom action for the resource like so:
