"10 digest iterations reached. Aborting!" error when using $window.open($location.absUrl());

I'm getting this error when I try to open a page in my app in a new window. My URL looks like http://localhost#/People/1/Profile#Address

It is in the AngularJS source ($rootScope.$watch(function $locationWatch() { ... }) and I'm not sure what I should be doing differently to not cause this.
