From Dan Zen in a different thread:

On a separate note. I'm thinking of hosting an Angular Meetup in NYC. Wondering if there is any possibility to get Google to host? I'll talk to Misko offline, but I assume I would need a Google employee to champion the meetup in NYC?

Absolutely! We have lots of Angular fans in the NYC office and I'm sure that we'll be able to find someone to host the event.

Not accidentally we've been also discussing creation of Bay Area meetup that would meet here on the google campus in Mountain View. How many folks would be interested in this?

Igor,
Please let me know what the next step would be. If you could put me in touch with Angular fans in the NYC office, that would be great. I'm hoping that we could do something within the next few weeks...

Also, if there are any other people in the NYC area that are interested and reading this, please introduce yourself.

Thanks,
zen

I've been having similar thoughts about doing one in SF. I have a CakePHP meetup group but honestly attendance has been... underwhelming. I could probably get 3 or 4 of my coworkers including myself to attend to one here.

I'm in NYC myself. Would hit any angular meetups probably along with
a few devs I'm pushing onto angular.

I sent out an email to the NYC office. Hopefully we'll get some volunteer.

I know cbz and I would be in for an MTV meetup (likely a few others from my team too).

At the Hangout today, it sounded like there were some people from the NYC office that have stepped up. Could you put me us in touch with each other, I would very much like to contribute and help coordinate.

+1 on the Bay Area meetup.

(I just corrected a typo "Bar Area" -- but that would work too!)

Yes. I've got several volunteers.

I'll contact you tomorrow with more info.
