Hi All,

This post is not intended to create a framework war. All I want to know is How can I highlight the benefits of Angular..

I have been discussing with my co-workers on angular js adoption. But  my coworker is saying Angular js is good for small application and doesn't scale well.
He/she always comes with the big names like Travis ci,square, zen desk, discourse using ember js. Of course , Google is using angular internally and built with angular website  helps.
When some one says angular js doesn't scale well, what would be your take or answer???
I understand that popularity trend might be different  and showing angular is more promising than ember. I have already lot of posts on the topic angular vs ember. some of them bit biased towards ember.

Regards,
S kumar

Can your coworker defend his statement and describe how Angular doesn't scale?  No, he can't, because Angular can scale quite well.  As can Ember.  Both are good frameworks.  You need to choose the one that fits the philosophy of your team the best.  If you're not sure which one that is, then you need to do more research.

I was hoping that some one could share their experience in building a large application outside google.
Well, I chose angular and working on my second project.

I haven't worked with ember enough, very little to extent. We chose AngularJs as a wide organization pick. So as far as i have been working on this app I am on right now. We are doing well. Every frame work has its pros and cons, its all about how everything aligns with team values as Mike said.

Angular can scale quite fine. I've been using it in a large development project. By "large" I mean hundreds of thousands of LOCs with more than two dozen developers for a year now. We reaped tremendous benefits by moving from the older framework we were on to Angular. Not only does it scale well technically, but also as part of process. What I mean by that is it doesn't just do well as a technology sitting on a server, but also makes it easier to develop and deliver code. Through the modularity the structure and dependency injection encourages, it is far easier to scale larger teams working on pieces in parallel than with other frameworks we've tried. If you have a chance visit http:///ng-conf.org and take a look at the videos, specifically the "building massive web apps" by the DoubleClick team. They successfully built an enormous app using Angular, and ours is even bigger than what they described.
