$timeout() doesn't update model

$timeout() doesn't update model.

Using $apply() worked.

What is the issue?

it does, but in the isolated scope you've created:

Check the console.

Does this count as an unexpected behaviour since $apply did work for the outer scope as well?

I would think so.
