Anyone know how to prevent disappearing search engines?

My custom search engines keep disappearing.
They are constantly reset to the defaults.
I can export them and re-import them, but that is a hassle.

Does anyone know how to prevent this?

Honestly idk I think DuckDuckGo doesn't support Windows XP
