Hey Audrey!
At Autoliv, interviewees are often given something we call the "Interview Buckle". Since we're an automotive safety company, the interviewee is given a disassembled seat belt buckle (which has a lot of tiny metal components) and is asked to assemble it as quickly as they can. It's a good way to assess someone's mechanical aptitude, and also shows how people react to pressure in the work place-- sure, it might be a little hard for them, but do they still try? Or do they complain about the task? Quit prematurely?
I thought it was a really cool evaluation for a potential employee because it kind of hits two birds with one stone.
Not sure if this is what you're looking for but thought it was worth sharing. Best of luck with your project.
Talk to you later,
Emma
