Dear Knitters,

I am inviting you to a public collaborative knitting event at the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday the 18th of April. We will be there from 1pm til 5pm by the glass lifts on the first floor facing the river. The piece of knitting is one big piece that we will all knit off. There are no rules to how you have to knit, you might not even knit, you might want to crochet. The knitting as an act of public design allows people the opportunity to meet people, to share skills and experineces that would otherwise be difficult to have in the space.

 

This is the secong knit me, the first was in Trafalgar Square. At Trafalgar we had a wonderful varied mix of people that saw people of different walks of life whether it was in age, where they lived or the language they spoke all come together to knit.
