I like the idea of having a big knit themed evening.

What's the controversy?

Aside:
I know I've not shown up for a while. Moved offices and it's not quite
so convenient. Plus things had got really busy personally. Seems to
have calmed down a bit, so will try and start making on the way home
again.

I've basically stopped knitting as I was on a tricky bit on my current
project, and couldn't find the time I needed to get the next few bits
done. But I am going to make a few little hats, just to get me back
into the swing of things. Then I'll start working on a Christmas
prezzie next I think.

No "controversy" per se, just some people think it's a good idea, uses up otherwise unusable stash oddments, and leads to knitting "getting out there" in a good way, where as others just think that the little hats are a silly idea that will end up in land fill, and would rather be knitting big hats for people heads, and others think that just giving more money direct to Age Concern works better.

However, if people want a themed evening, organising one shouldn't be too difficult at all! :-)

I know what you mean about gertting busy, Summer is always the time that we get distracted from The Knit.  I know I have to make a concious effort to not let knitting slip away from me, as AK is the only time I get to do any!
