Newby rides

Is anyone riding 10-15 mile rides?? My husband and I are just starting out... Again.. And would love to find some others to ride with.. We did 8 miles our first day... So anxious to build up to the 20-25 mile rides... Suggestions much appreciated!!

GOD, it's been so long since I've been able to ride, and the weather has been in sync, that I feel like a "newby" haha!
I'd be glad to ride with you for starters, though - seriously. I usually ride 20-30 miles depending on the day. Let me know if you guys decide something.

Count me in if you do some short rides! It's been forever since I rode any of the usual routes, plus my Tuesdays & Thursdays are already full. I've done some trail riding this winter but am sooo ready to work back up to the 20-30 mile weekend rides!

Kay- I'm off this week on vacation, and available almost every day. All the routes I know are longer than 10-15 miles but we can always do an out & back. What's your schedule like?

Well, it's about time to start the Friday evening fat tire rides again, but as you say, this week it's supposed to rain, so we may have to wait.  These are usually around 15-17 miles, social pace.  People will post on Facebook when interested, often on the day of the ride, so you have to keep checking.  Would be good to see you.

We were hoping you two would see our post.. We plan on riding crown and building up to being able to ride with you guys.. Can't wait.. We need to one to another dance too.. We forgot more than we learned.. See you guys soon!!!! Kay and Ricky

Yeah!!!! The flat tire rides sound great.. We have still only ridden a few times.. Mike let's pick an afternoon this week and at least ride out at crown.. We also enjoyed ratcliff lake.. Kay n rick

Would love to start riding with a group locally. I moved here from Dallas last fall. My bike has collected dust all winter. I am ready to get back on the road but have no idea where to ride.

Kevan-the group would be glad to have you join! The group rides are Tuesday evenings @ 5:30 leaving from Carpenters Way Baptist Church parking lot & on Thursdays @ 5:30 leaving from Lufkin High School parking lot. Both rides are 25-28 miles. For Saturday rides someone usually posts on Friday evening on this group or the FB page. They often meet at the Standpipe Coffee Shop downtown to begin the ride. A good group of folks with whim you can enjoy riding! Welcome.
