GUIDE LINES, RULES AND REGULATIONS
1) The maximum number of team members allowed for flower decoration is five. Additional members can assist their team from outside of the designated area.
2) Leaves and vegetables will consider same as natural flower.
3) Artificial flowers are not allowed to use in the Pookkalam. Eg. Rice powder, salt etc..
4) Prefabricated or pre moulded elevations are not allowed.
5) Pre dawned Sketch can use for the making of Pookkalam
6) Religious and political themes/ symbols are not allowed to be used in the Pookkalam competition.
7) Display of traditional “Nilavilakku” Nirapara” “Pookkula”etc are allowed but will not be assessed for deciding the winners.
8) ANRIA will supply a specified quantity of various flowers. The quantity, date & place of its distribution will be advised to the participants later.
9) Pookkalam should be arranged on allotted places, and within in the size of 1 ½ Mtr X 1 ½ Mtr.
10) The mode of place allotment will be by draw at the venue . Allotment will start @ 07 : 30 AM.
11) The registration fee is AED 100 per pookkalam.
12) Pookkalam competition will start @ 08:00 am and should be completed by 10:30 am.
13) The decision of judges will be final.
14) The Pokkalam committee have the right to amend any rules at any time.
15) The judgment criteria (total 100 marks) will be as follows:
20 marks for design
20 marks for innovation and creativity
20 marks for combination of colours
20 marks for combination of evenness and density of colours and flowers
20 marks for neatness and cleanliness.
