I always used the command "copybase" in my drawings. But I never really type "copybase", I just use the shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+C). I guess everyone does it that way. But some days ago, I tried to use this shortcut and it's not working! If I type "copybase" it works fine, but when I press Ctrl+Shift+C (it doesn't matter if an object is selected or not) my crosshair get stuck on the screen, and nothing happens. If I click the screen, the crosshair is free but still nothing happens. And looking at the command ribbon, I can see that no command was executed.
What is this? How can I solve it? I was searching on the options but I couldn't find anything. I know I can just type "copybase" but that's not good, the shortcut is faster and I'm more used to it. I'm using AutoCAD 2014. Thank you!
Eu estou usando AutoCAD 2014. Obrigado!
pendean, I didn't change anything in AutoCAD the last months. About the other programs, I don't use any software that has this key combo, so I can't test... About your last question: Sorry, but I don't know what is this! Could you explain please?
EDIT 2: Problem solved! Your question about the combo key in other programs made me try this shortcut in other random windows and I found the problem. I have recently installed an application called "Gyazo", where I can type a shortcut, select an area from the screen and host this captured image automatically. BUT, the shortcut to do this was Ctrl+Shift+C and I didn't know! Hahaha... I'm sorry to make you lose your time, but it's everything ok now! Thank you pendean!
The hotkey Ctrl+Shift+L is hidden in a different section in ReLive: Gaming > Global Settings > Performance Monitoring > Toggle Performance Logging Hotkey. You can unmap the hotkey by going to its settings (Toggle) and pressing Del.
If you're using the same point [whether 0,0,0 or otherwise] for both the Copybase base point and the Paste insertion, you don't need to define custom commands, nor do you even need to specify any location in either Copying or Pasting. Just use Ctrl+C [regular COPYCLIP] to Copy, and PASTEORIG to Paste. It's also not subject to being thrown off by any running Object Snap mode(s) in either Copying or Pasting or both.
For years, I've used ctrl+shift+c and 0,0,0 then paste to original coordinates. But hidden in the crypts of autodesk world there's another copybase command that I recently just learned and found that if I was a beginner I would be very confused. Too many clicks and mouse dragging. Type UCS, enter, W for world, enter, drag your mouse to edit then copy with base point and type 0,0, enter; then go your host drawing and paste to original coordinates.
If you're new to AutoCAD and still trying to get a grasp or have a picture in your mind what and how this program runs, you'd be very confused. ctrl+shift+0,0,0 then paste to original coordinates is a lot less confusing.
Hello, I'm trying to use the function ctrl+d on excel to copy the content to the cell below and it is not working, only ctrl+r is working, which copies the cell content to the right. I tried changing the language, it works for a bit and then stops working. Is it a bug? I need help asap because I used it daily and now it annoys me very much that is not working, it saves me a lot of effort and time.
I recommend starting by testing the shortcut key in Safe Mode.

I'm betting it will work in Safe Mode. Close Excel and re-launch it normally and try the shortcut again. Sometimes merely running an app through safe mode will fix a quirk like this one.
@MRouss Have you got any utility software either recently installed, or updated? I use Microsoft Powertools and that interfered with one of my Excel short-cuts so I turned off that feature in Powertoys as I didn't use it.
Unfortunately I do not have Webex installed and i still cannot figure this out. I've checked Zoom, RingCentral and even Teams and there is no conflict with Ctrl-D or Ctrl-R. Even tried the Safe Mode and Repair Excel and none of those worked. If anyone has found anything else please advice. Greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
