Internet security refers to the practice of protecting computer networks, devices, programs and data against unauthorized access, theft, damage or any other attacks that can compromise their integrity, confidentiality or availability. This also includes protecting users' privacy and blocking malware, viruses, spyware, phishing, and other cyber threats. Internet security measures are important not only to keep your devices and data safe, but also to maintain the security of your wider network and help prevent the spread of any malicious content. Adopting safe online habits and keeping relevant software updated are also essential components of internet security.

Will I have uninstall the antivirus program currently is installed to download Kaspersky Plus accordingly to store page? My payment is scheduled to next friday due to automatic renew system and what is going to happen? Will Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391(j) convert itself to Kaspersky Plus or I will be forced to download by myself the application and uninstall the current one to install a diferent program just called by name because they all do the same protection like the three old series.

I can't quite understand this controversy in changing Kaspersky basic, Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security names if there are users at the forum claiming to be using so can someone clarify this sudden change on the each antivirus suite?

Is just a simple question, my renewal subscription scheduled this friday will it be required to pay for these new Kaspersky series or is Kaspersky Internet Security still being sold at the store?

Anyhow, getting back on the horse and taking to back to my question. Do I still need to uninstall the antivirus program and install the next selected license I get to choose or will my Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391(j) be convert itself like whenever there were newer versions of Kaspersky Internet Security back in 2018, 2019, 2020 and so on?

Just like today I've received the order to renew my license for Kaspersky Internet Security. They have a pending payment untill April 3rd for a higher price which in the past years, I've been paying this elevated cost to keep Kaspersky Internet Security operational, updated and functional. Going to annex a order image about.

For a time I have been having problems connecting to my WiFI from my personal laptop. It loses the connection and just doesn't connect to WiFI, or, if it does, it says "Connected, No Internet". If I move it closer to the router, it usually gets the connection. I only have this problem with my personal laptop, not with my work one or my phone. This is what makes me think it's a problem in the computer and not the router. Sometimes don't even show any network, that is, neither my WiFi nor other one.

Sorry for taking so long. After I reactivated the antivirus, I haven't had the problem for a few days but yesterday night I had it again (unable to connect to the wifi, or "Connected, no internet", or even theoretically connected but no getting any connection to any website, while other devices in the same room are getting connection from the same wifi).

As my licence for Kaspersky was running out, I recently decided to shop around and decided to swap to Avast which gets better reviews and has a free version that does everything I need. Having installed Avast it was time to remove Kaspersky. The obvious thing was to go to Settings > "Apps and Features" and uninstall each of the 3 components (Security, Internet and Password). No luck, the uninstall of Security hangs as soon as it starts to delete the components. The other two components refuse to uninstall because the first one is still uninstalling, despite having abandones that uninstall.

actually i don't have a clue about it because it is not showing in the control panel>programs installed, but when i try to install them they now show a error that "a previous localization is already present". but when i run the kaspersky removal tool it shows kis 2012 to uninstall and asks to reboot after uninstall. but when i rerun kaspersky removal tool it again shows kis 2012.

just a few minutes ago i tried to remove kis 2012 by kavremover tool (after a kaspersky forum moderator asked me to post the kavremover log) it showed kis 2012 to remove and i clicked on remove button and it took some time(which in all previous cases just after clicking remove it(kavremover) shows "removal done you need to reboot') and displayed 'removal done you need to reboot".

do u hav free version of kaspersky security cloud? because premium version of kaspersky security cloud has firewall so u dont need glasswire and use only 1 antivirus. more antiviruses make ur pc to crash. if ur using a antivirus that does not provide firewall, glasswire is ur recommended solution.

I turned off my Kaspersky Internet Security and my Windows Firewall, then downloaded and installed CCS 6.1.3.00033. When I turned my internet security and Firewall back on I received this message: "Detected PDM: Trojan Win32 Generic. Location: f:\ti\ccsv6\eclipse\ccstudio.exe. Disinfect and restart computer." Also got a window whose Title Bar said "Rundll: rundll32.exe bad image" and the body of the window said: "C:Windows\system32\MSCTF.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

OK, Here's what happens, at least with Kaspersky anti-virus: After installation, the first time you run CCS, additional components are downloaded from the internet. Kaspersky anti-virus must be turned off the first time you use CCS because the ant-virus recognizes these downloaded components and then finds ccstudio.exe and deletes it because it thinks it's a Trojan. The operator has no choice in the matter, ccstudio.exe gets deleted.

Kaspersky Internet Security (often abbreviated to KIS) was[3] an internet security suite developed by Kaspersky Lab compatible with Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Kaspersky Internet Security offers protection from malware, as well as email spam, phishing and hacking attempts, and data leaks. Kaspersky Lab Diagnostics results are distributed to relevant developers through the MIT License.

KIS 6.0 supports Windows 98 SE, ME, NT Workstation 4.0, 2000 Professional, XP Home Edition, XP Professional, XP Professional x64, and Vista. 50 megabytes of free space, Internet Explorer 5.5, and Windows Installer 2.0 are required. RAM and CPU requirements are dependent on the operating system.[6]

Parental controls were introduced, with specific settings for different age categories, such as "child" or "parent". Within age categories are content categories, such as drugs or violence. Users can manually configure profiles. Filtering profiles can be associated with users. Since content is filtered at the network level, the feature will work with any Internet browser. The filter relies on a database of known URLs and can analyse websites in real-time. Attempts to access forbidden URLs are logged, and sites visited are tracked as well, raising privacy issues. Limits on Internet access may be set based on time, and chat rooms along with webmail sites can be manually blocked.[8]

Protection against data leaks was incorporated in this release. The suite warns users when programs attempt to access or send data from certain areas, such as where Internet Explorer stores webform information.[7]

This version drops support for the Windows 98, 2000, and NT. Windows XP Service Pack 2 is required, except in the case of XP Professional x64 edition. Vista is supported as well. RAM and CPU requirements are dependent on the operating system. 75 megabytes of free space, Internet Explorer 5.5, and Windows Installer 2.0.

KIS uses a whitelist by Carbon Black to classify trusted and malicious programs. Malicious programs are not allowed to run at all. Unknown programs falling in between the two categories are restricted in the actions they can perform. Its firewall blocked all attacks in PC Magazine testing. Phishing protection was introduced in this release. Testing by PC Magazine found the feature blocked 44 percent of phishing URLs. Internet Explorer 7 blocked 67 percent of the URLs, and Mozilla Firefox blocked 81 percent.[13]

Version 2010 of Kaspersky Internet Security introduced an overhauled user interface and a sandbox for running applications in a virtualized environment. The 9.0.0.736 build of KIS 2010 fully supported the Windows 7 operating system.[14]

On 1 March 2011, Kaspersky released the first build of version 2012, it came out as beta version and in English, French and Russian version, with more versions due out later.[18] On 7 June 2011 Kaspersky Lab announced the commercial release of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 in France, Germany, Switzerland. The current version is 12.0.0.374.[19]

The beta version was released for all windows users on 3 March 2012. This version includes an interface which looks (currently, at least) much like Internet Security 2012. There is no Safe Run option, no Proactive Defense, while instead the behavioural monitoring System Watcher seems to be taking greater responsibility for detecting malware and a Safe Banking feature has been added.

As a result of alleged Russian involvement in the 2016 United States presidential election and ongoing investigations, the Department of Homeland Security officially banned the use of the Kaspersky Internet Security by the United States federal government in September 2017.[24]

After a few initial hiccups I got WiFi synch working when it first became available and it has been working well between a Windows computer and both an iPhone and iPad. I have always used Kaspersky internet protection and left it at default settings.

The goal of this message thread is to provide ESET with specific feedback on changes and new features you would like to see in future versions of ESET Internet Security or ESET Smart Security Premium. Please use the following format when providing feedback:
