isthere any way to open / import an .npr file other than in nuendo? i have the session files and need to make some changes but it would be cumbersome to start cutting up the master audio tracks as i make changes to the video sequence.

There is only one person to ask about that around here - and that's Suite Spot. He wrote (and frequently upgrades) a session file converter utility called AATranslator. Now this is all well and fine, but I've noticed that on the home page, Nuendo isn't mentioned except in passing, and there's no mention of .npr, so hopefully he'll be along at some stage to tell you what the situation is with your particular extension. But, you have to bear in mind that it's Christmas, so I have no idea of actually when this might be...

thanks steve - i saw aa translator and also noticed no tool for .npr - i've spent a while searching and no luck so far. my best idea was to download a nuendo trial to see of there's a way to export an xml file or equiv but even for the trial you need to buy a usb dongle for $29 from the co to activate the software. kinda sucks considering i paid quite a bit to an audio engineer for the editing and i can't acces to make some minor tweaks - live and learn:)

Nuendo certainly can export its own version of an .xml - but you might still need AATranslator to turn it into something that Audition will recognise. I've looked at the version revisions, and Nuendo .xml and one or two issues with it have certainly featured in the 6.0.71 revision. You can see the progress with the whole app in this Audiomasters thread (link to the end of the thread) Audition Session Import/Export Translator - Now with PT support [ AudioMasters Forums - The Home of ...

SteveG is correct AATranslator does not read native Nuendo NPR session files BUT it will read an exported Selected Track Archive (XML) and it will convert it to an sesx file - you only need the $59USD version.

I have a logic pro project that I made. Just all midi from (AU) from Elastik. OK now that I have everything in order I want to send what I made sounds and all to a friend useing Nuendo. I tried the Export option OpenTLL,MIDI, OMF say there no audio file so it does not work. But when I open in Nuendo there nothing. What am I doing wrong. I dont want to bounce because then he wont able to edit seperate track. Is there a place to explain or show me how to trasfer this project to him. Thanks

You hit it on the nail. Now it going to the nuendo great. And in oreder. Thanks you trully help me allot. Let me ask you another ? thou. I had to make all track to audio and put them back or add them back to project in order, is there a way to trasport them automatically, because it took some pin pointing to get it back in order after making the midi to audio. Or I have to rearrange them again after there all audio.
