Hi,

I'm trying to build AndTweet from source in Eclipse (Ganymede), but
I'm having some issues that I'm sure someone will know how to fix.
Unfortunately, this is the first time I'm using Eclipse, so I'm unsure
whether there's an issue with the source, or with me. ;)

I'm got r64 checked out, and I have 122 errors, the vast majority of
which are "R cannot be resolved". I've copied the contents of my error
messages to:

http://pastie.org/private/c6eairr16mla6wh5mtp8a

Any ideas?

I'm really happy with AndTweet so far. I like it far better than the
apps I found in Android Market. Thanks for the great app! I'm looking
forward to trying to contribute.

-mike

Mike,

In order to develop Android applications in Eclipse you need the Android SDK as well as the Eclipse Android plugin.

Download the Android SDK here:
http://code.google.com/android/download.html

Read about installing the Eclipse plugin here:
http://code.google.com/android/intro/installing.html

Once you have those two set up in Eclipse you should be good to go.

I also recommend using the Subversive Eclipse plugin since it will allow you to check out/check in code directly from inside Eclipse.

I am glad that you are liking AndTweet! If you have feature requests, ideas, bugs, complaints, don't hesitate to either voice them here or even better, create an issue here: http://code.google.com/p/andtweet/issues/list

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

Warm Regards,
Torgny

Hi Torgny,

Thanks for the response. I had the SDK and ADT already installed, but I was unfortunately still running 0.9. Once I upgraded 1.0r2 everything worked properly!

This is all really an exercise for me to get familiar with Android development, but I do have a couple of things I'd like to try to implement for AndTweet. I'm sure I'll have questions once I learn enough to be dangerous. ;)

Thanks again,
-mike
