Some news:
- We haven't found a new name, so we will call it Webkey. We registred
http://webkey.cc ,both this and androidwebkey.com will work for a
while.
- I have an ICS device (htc Desire with custom rom) for this weekend.
Unfortunately not all the issues of ICS arise on this rom.
- We made the screen update about 2-3 times faster by prebuilding the
connection from javascript.
- added kill -9 when stop doesn't work (some threads might wait for
system calls), this reduces time which is needed for stopping
- fixed bug in user management, there was no add user option when
password.txt didn't exist
- fix for Samsung Galaxy S I and II keys (home still doesn't work)
- fix for SAMSUNG-SGH-I717, LG-P999
- fix when injected keys amount is too large
- fix in the screen change watcher
- timeout fixes in java
We worked on the python project:
- I'm able to compile C++ code to a python module on android. We will
use C++ code only for the screenshot capturing (already started
implementing).
We need a couple of days before publishing the new version.
Cheers,
Peter
I'm working very hard, but unfortunately not on the python project
right now. Some serious issues hold us back (for example injecting a
touch on ICS kills the touch of the phone till the next reboot). As
soon as we have them fixed and released, we continue the python
project.
The long term goals haven't changed, we would like to have a platform
in python, which is easy to extend.
Best wishes,
Peter
By the way, we've decided to use the name Webkey for the python
project as well. The android prefix was necessary to be unique, we try
to omit that in the future naming of the project. To do so, we've
registered
http://webkey.cc
which is the same server
http://github.com/webkey
which doesn't contain anything now, because of insufficient time
