How to add/sync Google Finance

Hi All,
Has anyone got a How To on adding/syncing my GFinance portfolio into
Stocks? Am I missing a Import button somewhere? I've read through the
FAQ but cant see anything more than the ability to sync bring made
available.

Hi,
it's auto sync while the app start up,  the sync feather only work after version 1.0 and higher.

Hi Dato,

Thanks for your response. I've made a PF on the app with the exact
same name as my PF in GF. When I open the app theres a very quick
loading circle then the ads load then nothing else. What more do I
need to do to link my GF account to my phone? I get my Gmails and
everything else fine.
I've tried Googles official app for Stocks but that doesnt work at all
for me and many others based on the comments.

UK, HTC Desire, Stocks version 38 (installed yesterday).

The app will use your gmail account automatically, do you use a regular gmail account?

It's never worked no. The built in HTC stocks software uses Yahoo,
Google's
Finance app never synchronized my portfolio due to a network issue
(although
it did pull down the markets so there's SOME network connectivity) and
some
of the replies said to try your app so here I am.

P.S. I think I've some how opened a 2nd thread, please delete it and
keep this conversation active, thanks.

It's so strange, did your gmail work? Did you see the alert triangle "!" on the top title?

Gmail syncs fine, no triangles. Do you have a YouTube video of how to
set it up?

What's your OS version? 1.6, 2.1 or .2.2?

The firmware in About Phone reads 2.1- update 1.

Hello,

My phone is setup with @googlemail.com , I cant remove it without
wiping the phone (according to various forums) unless you know
differently. I'll try adding a gmail.com to it

Hmm, didnt seem to do anything, just fell back to my @googlemail.com
in the Sync & Accounts page. I'll see if I can get a backup done then
maybe wipe my phone and start over.

Personally I dont see how it makes a difference, gmail/googlemail
point to the same entity.

Hmm,  would you like to try our another product? GTasks, it also sync with google, the gmail tasks.

I had to uninstall and then reinstall the app in order to get a new
Google portfolio to show up on my phone. I tried every kind of
refresh I could find on the phone, but nothing seemed to work. I'm
running Android 2.1 on an HTC droid incredible.

Also, you have another option, upgrade your firmware to 2.2 and try again.

Dear All,

I did as suggested.
1) Upgrade(?) my account to a gmail.com from googlemail.
2) Did a reset of my phone, re-built it with everything gmail.com,
3) Downloaded the app
4) Now it works.

Took a while as I wanted to ensure I had all my backups (that's
another topic, it didnt backup very well at all, thank goodness for
HTC Sync!!).
