Rebuilding the apk through Droidscript

Hello,

Is it possible to allow edit few files like androidmanifest.XML before building the apk in Droiscript itself?

Since I wanted to add few lines of code in my app to enable tracking as well as ADS.

Hi Durga,

That might get complicated... I'll have to think about that.  If you let me know what specific tags your need to modify, then I might be able to expose some of the more common manifest settings using a special include file.

Hi Dave,

Basically I need to change these files to show a ad in my apps.

1) need to add a .jar file in libs folder
2) add a dependency in build.gradle
3) Adding permission and activities to AndroidManifest.XML

If editing these files are possible through Droid script that will be great.

I think this would have to go into DroidScript in as a plugin (unless they have a pure JavaScript SDK).

I can ask Chris to have a look at creating one if you like, but I think we would have to charge a few dollars for the plugin.

I don't think there is JavaScript SDK for this.

At the same time I don't want to buy a additional one...

I'm afraid we are going to have to start charging for some plugins from now on, as DroidScript needs to start paying for itself in order to carry on at it's current rate of development.  DroidScript is costing me personally over a thousand of dollars per month as it takes time away from my software contracting work.

You would only have to pay a one off fee of a few dollars for the plugin but would potentially generate hundreds of dollars for you through click through payments.

(Of course we would only consider creating plugins for mainstream ad networks that others would want to use.... but this one does look pretty main stream from first impressions)

Hi Dave, thank you for creating Droid Script I have purchased de APK Builder Plugin and would Buy the ADS Plugin if it is maximum the same price as the APK Builder Plugin I am grateful with you for creating Droid Script and understand you have to get some (well earned) money from it so make the plugin and I will buy it. I think I will not be the only one.

Hi Bernardo, what type of ADS service do you want?  If it is still the http://www.adbuddiz.com/developers then I'm not sure it is main stream enough for us to do... would you be happy with the Google Ad service?
