Hi,
I have new tablet with Android 12
If I start in landscape and invoke DS it closes DS
If I start in portrait, invoke DS, then rotate to landscape - it closes DS
(home screen and edit and if I run my apps from DS)
Doesn't happen for other apps
Regards, ah

We raised this issue (of DS closing abruptly when the device is turned landscape) sometime ago. Initially, it was thought that it was a problem with some cheap Chinese tabs. Then someone reported the same problem with a Lenovo tab. I still have the problem with my "Alldocube" (Chinese) tab running Android 13. But surprisingly, I don't have the problem with my Samsung Tab A7 Lite running Android 14.

HI,
Still having this problem on my Android 13 tablet with DS 2.77.3
Don't know if this is relevant
To prevent your Android app from restarting when the device is rotated, you can modify the <activity> tag in your AndroidManifest.xml file by adding the android:configChanges attribute. Include orientation|screenSize in the attribute to handle orientation changes without restarting the activity.

DS 2.78 is officially released now, try that because it has more efficient rotation handling

HI,
DS 2.78.9
Go into DS edit in Portrait, rotate 90° anticlockwise, goes to DS home.
Run app from DS in Portrait (no onconfig), rotate 90° clockwise, restarts app
With an onconfig it doesn't invoke the onconfig, just restarts.

Start DS home portrait, scroll, rotate to landscape, restarts at top of DS home

Start DS home portrait, rotate to landscape, back to portrait, landscape again, goes back to Android home.

Regards, ah
