HI,
Google Play Store only accepts AABs on new apps
(if you previously uploaded an APK for this app you may still be able to)
The DS official/technical team probably need to know the version of DS, the version of the builder (these two should match),
and perhaps the version of Android. The exact message from Play Store may clarify the cause.
Have you uploaded any apps before? Have you uploaded an APK for this app before?
If you have uploaded before then you need to build with the same keystore.
Regards, ah

Hello thank you for reply I have a fresh account with Google with no uploads before and I have just recently downloaded the latest version of Droidscript and subscribed around last month and downloaded the apk builder plugin then..
Droidscript version 2.50
The apk builder works fine but doesnt seem to be installed in my plugins folder cannot find version re-installed but doesnt show, but it is the most recent one im sure.
Google didnt give me a reason just a red popup with upload a valid app bundle

HI,
Is 29753 the size of your app?
Pretty sure I've built with 2.50 DS and builder and uploaded successfully.
Might be worth looking at all the values you type in when building
first field the package name (usually com.a-value-you-choose.appname)
second field version (1.00 for first version, increment for updated versions)
obfuscate (makes it harder for others to see your code)
include system assets (unticking can reduce app size)
debug should be UNticked
password (use the same value for future builds)
If this doesn't fix it then you could raise it in the Premium forum.
Regards, ah

There's a little app that can show your version of DS, builder, etc

HI,
I got an email from the technical team asking you try without the underscores in the package name
(succeeding_lights_software).
When you go premium you should be given access to the Premium Group
https://groups.google.com/g/droidscriptpremium
I think that debug checkbox only shows up when building APK (my bad, I was working from memory).

Hey I tried again and it is still not working, debug showed up for html on my end, I got a different simple html project to make abb with a older version of Droidscript in a post Steve made and Google Play said it was okay but targeting api was 30 not 31 so they couldnt accept it. It simply said upload valid package for trying with the recent Google Play version of Droidscript. I tried with all the different options toggled but im not sure what more to do and I couldnt access group with link haha, I have a subscription to premium with this email, thank you tons !

Hi

For PlayStore target API problems, try this

On your project root directory, create a build.json file and paste this json object

{
    "manifest":
    {
        "minSdkVersion": 23,
        "targetSdkVersion": 31
    }
}

The compile your AAB again then upload to PlayStore.

Hi Jamar thank you I tried that made the build.json file and entered your code and compiled aab again, reuploaded and gave same 'upload a valid app bundle" I tried with both my native project and my html project

Ive taken the underscores out too before compiling again, actual apk compiles fine and installs and runs for both projects, but neither abb is still not accepted by Google Play, only got one message in red there that said about the targeting api being 30 not 31, all other times it just says please upload a valid app bundle.

Huawei wont accept either projects apks or bundles either, idunno what could be wrong because my html project is extremly simple and is only one HTML file with the JavaScript code embeded in the HTML code.

HI,
To narrow it down you could try building the Hello World project/app and/or create a new HTML project/app and build that.
I'm not familiar with publishing to Huawei, I presume you've read

Hi

I forgot to mention that build.json support for AAB is fixed in DroidScript Version 2.53 which is a beta release on Aug 25, 2022. Check your DS version.

If you are subscribe to the Beta Forum you can download the DS 2.53 apk there.

Regards
