A habit seems to have grown up in this group recently of hijacking topics.

If you want to add a post to a topic you have found, please
  • read the subject and check it is appropriate
  • read through the thread and make sure your post is appropriate to the discussion
If you are taking part in a thread and have a thought about something else to ask or say, please
  • think about whether what you want to say  fits with the subject and the discussion
  • remember, this group is not a chat
If the post does not fit in the topic or you are not sure, please post a new topic and ensure you use an appropriate subject.

Remember, lots of people search this group for the answer to their questions.

When they search for a word, they may find a lot of topics that contain that word. The only way to decide which ones to look at is the subject and the very small amount of text that is displayed with it.

I would like to remind people of the requests above.

Please do not hijack threads even if you started them yourself.

One thread, one topic.
Thank you.

This old topic is still relevant today.

One of the topics that suffers most is the current "Tell us what you want" thread.

That topic is not intended for "how do I" questions or attempts to capture people's attention.

It is intended for people to request new features in DroidScript for future development.

The idea is that DroidScript.org (expecially Dave) can take a look periodically and see what developments are being asked for. If the topic is full of off-topic posts or announcements of posts people are proud of, it makes it more difficult to scan the group regularly.

If there is a feature that you are looking for but cannot find, it is recommended that first you search the group for matching topics.

If you don't find a helpful answer, post a new question with a meaningful title.

If you receive an answer like "DroidScript cannot do this" you may well receive advice on whether it is appropriate to post a request in the "Tell us what you want" topic.

There are no guarantees that your request will be addressed quickly but it will be given consideration each time development priorities are being discussed.

Requests will be given a significantly higher priority if they are posted in the DroidScript Premium group by a Premium user.
