Want to work with a group of fun-loving engineers and make toys and other consumer products?  

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Android application developer with an eye for great UI design. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing Android applications and delivering them to the consumer marketplace. 

Our company invents & designs a wide range of toys and consumer products - from tiny, low-power toys that use 8-bit microcontrollers to sophisticated systems including USB-based electronic musical instruments and cross-platform applications. You may have heard of some of our products: PaperJamz Guitars, Drums & Microphones, and Leapfrog TouchMagic pre-school toys. We are a small but growing company. You will not be working as part of a large team, and you will be expected to manage your own time and plan tasks to meet deadlines. The flip side is some level of autonomy and an opportunity to contribute significantly.

 

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience developing Android applications
  
• Programming languages: C++ and Java
  
• Proven track record of delivering software to firm deadlines
  
• BS or equivalent in Computer Science

Desired Qualifications:

• Expertise in UI design and layout
  
• High-performance Android development using OpenGL and the NDK
  
• Objective-C development for iOS and MacOS
  
• Embedded microcontroller development in C or C++
  
• Familiarity with signal processing concepts
  
• Excellent communication skills
