Thanks to everyone who came out for our April meeting, especially to Daniel and Jens for presenting.  Next month we'd like to dig into the practices around testing Android applications.  Do you do any testing?  What's been your experience?  Learned any lessons along the way?  It would be great if we could get a few of you to share your experience with testing Android.  Doesn't have to be anything fancy, as little as 5 minutes.  If you're willing to share a little with the group, please send a note to our gmail, augminnesota

Looking forward to learning what you know!

Brad, Breon, Peter and Justin

I don't do much testing, but I do have two tests I've devised for
checking translations for errors I could share (a few minutes tops).

It turns out that the latest version of Android Lint invalidates what
I was going to talk about! They added are three string format
checkers which do more than my tests ever did. I could still get up
and talk about them, but it won't be testing oriented anymore.

Hey Daniel -
Would mind just giving a brief overview of lint, and as part of it, what testing it removed for you?  I doubt everyone is familiar with what it really provides for you. Its not unit testing of course, but falls under a more general discussion of code quality.

Brad, I can give an overview on getting started with unit testing in
Eclipse. I don't have a lot of time to prepare, but fortunately it's
one of the topics I covered at Mobile March.

Perfect Jeffery, thanks!  We'll have a couple speakers, so even a 10-15 min talk is fine.

I don't think I will have trouble filling 15 minutes, if anything it may take longer.  I will work on getting it to 15 minutes as best I can.  See you Tuesday!

Longer might be fine, I should know by tomorrow.
Thanks again!

Yup, I could do that. It's pretty simple so it'll only take 5-10
minutes to explain I think.

Nuts, missed a meeting on testing, that would of be useful. Do you
know if any of the presenters posted slides anywhere?

Looking forward, is the next meeting on June 5th? Do not mean to
rush you, just trying to save the date!
