to Android-x86

Just tested Android-x86 5.1-RC1 in live mode on  my Teclast x98 Air 3G tablet (booted from Windows 32bit UEFI side). I was quite impressed how well the Android-x86 5.1-RC1 actually worked. Live system booted up without problems and things worked quite well with keyboard and mouse. I was expecting that the high resolution 9.7" 2048X1536 display with 4:3 aspect ratio  would cause problems, but display was detected correctly and everything looked beautiful. Touch screen did work, but the x and y axis were inverted and calibration did not fix this. Even the accelerometer worked, although it made the Android system restart (not a complete reboot). After restart the orientation of the display was set up correctly. I got the display rotation to work without restarting Android at least once, when I did not touch the screen after boot up.

Connecting to my wifi was easy and the web browser was responsive and fluid. YouTube worked after signing in with google account and updating the application. There was no sound, but the volume buttons did work. Gmail and Calendar app worked also.

3G modem didn't work. It did not detect my SIM-card and ask for my PIN. Battery indicator and the shutdown button did not work also.

I did experience a few system hangups while playing with the device. I'm considering to install Android-x86 5.1-RC1 to the device emmc and to do some more testing. But before that, I will try to find out if I can do something about the inverted X- and y-axis on the touchscreen and the power button.
