Hello Folks,

I have found this Windows program created by someone that allows you to install Android-x86 to desired drive while inside Windows, just like WUBI Installer for Ubuntu. Its really simple, just select an Android x86 ISO and select any drive and hit install! This way your data and your Windows installation are safe since the drives appears with their letters and not as sda... like in the Android-x86 installer. I have personally tested this software and it works!

I think the developer should be given some credit and this installer should be mentioned on the Android-x86 website for the beginners. I don't know the guy who developed this but he has posted to xda-developers.

Here's the thread so you can test:

The installation is super simple,
1. Download ISO
2. Run Android Installer
3. Select ISO
4. Select Partition
5. Select User Data Size (Internal Storage)
6. Hit Install Now

I tried installing on the same drive as my Windows 8 and on startup I got an option to choose between Windows and Android. Do check this and post the result!

Cheers! :)

I have a Broadcom 4318 proprietary wifi driver and I was wondering if it would work in Android. I do not have access to ethernet, only wifi.

You should try Thinkpad ICS, my broadcom worked with it, but touchpad acted like touchscreen. Jelly Bean tabletsx86 works great but it does not support ARM apps fully

So I can install this on the same partition as Windows, and it won't mess up?
