Hi All,

I've got a Dell Mini 10v (replaced BCM wlan with Atheros one) and I have *everything* working (Sound, Camera, wifi, market, mouse, trackpad etc.) but the one thing I'm still struggling with.

I am using the Asus EEE pc ICS build and whenever it boots up the 'launcher' or 'desktop' is the phone version with no menu bar at the bottom as you get in the tablet version, notification bar at the top that you have to pull down a la phone. Which makes it really hard to use correctly as whenever you want to get back to the desktop you have to escape a few times!

When using this same image in QEmu on my desktop machine it boots up to the 'tablet' desktop.

Anyone know how I can get my mini to use this interface?

Change your resolution. I can't recall the numbers, but the higher resolutions are automagically tablet mode.

I didn't think I could change the resolution? How do I do that?

The odd thing is that the qemu session has a lower resolution BUT a different aspect ratio.

Any help would be great!

The way android manages what version of the UI you get, whether you get the phone interface or the tablet interface, is by using the LCD density. I don't know too much about this topic, but I think I will be pointing you in the right direction. I also know that there are apps you can download, that will let you change the LCD density.

Hope those help.

If you can, get a DPI Changer from the play store. Change it to 120-160 (Not sure if 170 - 200 is still tablet mode). You should be in tablet mode when you restart your device.

I have to say I've not tried the microphone.

I've only really played YouTube videos through the app. Which worked fine but the HD mode was not 720p but I'm guessing it's not on the phone. Dont really use any other media.
