Hello!

I want to try running Android on an HP TC1100 and I'm wondering which
version to choose. I've read in the forums, that others tried this
before. In this thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/android-x86/tree/browse_frm/thread/70cdeb8db9723970/15e493957ef39810?_done=%2Fgroup%2Fandroid-x86%2Fbrowse_frm%2Fthread%2F70cdeb8db9723970%2F15e493957ef39810%3Ftvc%3D1%26&tvc=1

It is sid that there is a patch for the display drivers. However it is
not (anymore?) in the download section. Is it implemented in a
version?

Would be nice if you could help me, looking forward to any answers,

Chillman

Please let me know if you get something working....  Several have been interested recently, but nobody who has done it has chimed up.

I just tried the version you supposed. Until now, I only had time to
test it with the live CD. The screen works perfectly, but wifi is not
working. Will it be possible to get it to work after installing it?
I did not understand the thing in the lower right corner on your side,
Stefan. By the way, Stefan Seidel sounds German. Are you German? I
am. ; )

Will it be faster, when it is installed (not live CD)?

But it works, I think, it is pretty nice.

I haven't had any luck with that image. I get stuck in a loop, I
select a partition, tell it to format (or not to format) and the
installation goes right back to the screen to select the partition. I
have tried creating a new partition, formatting, not formatting, it
doesn't seem to matter what I try, I just get stuck in a loop of
selecting partition and choosing the formatting option.

Did you have the same problem, or do you have any ideas on how to get
past that?

I've just been looking at
https://code.google.com/p/android-x86/downloads/list
which give android x86 4.0 rc1 iso's available. Does anyone know which one would work on the TC1100?

Hello all,

we have this kind of question very often. According to ITIL standard an "Incident" gets a "Problem" if it happens too often. I request a "Change" to the download website: List the supported hardware for each downloaded iso in detail: Supported CPU, Chipset, VGA, LAN, Wifi, Touchscreen, etc. by product name and hardware ID.

Then those who want to download an image then can compare the provided list with their hardware and decide easyier.

This is a good suggestion.
But it increases a lot of jobs to maintenance.

Would you like to help it?

Hello,

yes I would do. But from where I could get the informations, I haven't
all of these devices for testing. Can you provide me the parameter files
for building theses ISOs, maybe I can extract the informations from there?

"parameter files"?
If you meant the configuration files for all targets,
they are all in the device/ dir.
e.g., the kernel config of tegav2:
device/tegatech/tegav2/tegav2_defconfig
