Hi,

I've tested out the Android Oreo RC1 buil on my Asus Transformer Book Mini T103HAF, but I cannot use the wi-fi (the switch is locked on the "off" setting) and I hear no sounds.

I've tried other builds too, like android-x86_64-7.1-r2, cm-x86_64-14.1-r2 and android-x86_64-6.0-r3 but those issues are still there.

These are some specs of my T103HAF:

Intel® Atom x5-Z8350 1,44 GHz Quad-Core Processor
4 GB LPDDR3 1600MHz SDRAM Onboard Memory
Integrated Intel HD Graphics
Intel SST Audio Device (WDM)
Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter

Thanks for the quick reply and assistance.

Unfortunately, this is all too technical for me and I really don't know how to fix this on my own.

I just hope I'll find an Androidx86 build already optimized for Asus tablet, someday.

Thanks again.

Hello again,

Just out of curiosity: I noticed on http://www.android-x86.org/download this build "android-x86-4.0-r1.1-asus_laptop.iso" that refers specifically to Asus Laptops/Tablets.

Do you think it'll solve those sound/wi-fi issue I found on my T103HAF Asus 2-in-1?

I tried to put the android-x86-4.0-r1.1-asus_laptop.iso on a bootable USB - as I did with Android-x86 8.1-rc1 (Oreo-x86) build I installed succesfull on my Asus - but for some reason this iso for Asus laptop won't boot.

why you think the long ago 4.0-asus_laptop will support all the past and future asus tablet hardware .

Well, I did not know… that's why I asked :)

The build is dated Oct 23, 2017, though (so, it's not that old: same age of my Asus 2-in-1, more or less), so I was hoping that would be fine for that hardware.

It's a shame Asus laptops have this comaptibility issue with AndroidX86, because - as far I can see on my Mini Transformer Book - the Android experience is very smooth (issues aside, of course).

youling 257 I do not understand why you answer the people and then tell them things they do not know how to use. I suspect that very few here are developers.

This is a similar problem on Asus T102HA as well actually, and from what I see in this group there's no solution. Some reported the CM version works, but when I installed it, it wouldn't boot up. Would try again soon to see if I can get this resolved.

Yeah, I've heard of the CM version and I tried it, but still no wi-fi/sound for me.

I tried Phoenix OS too, and the wi-fi was on. However I was not satisfied with the overall Phoenix experience (I need a touch-friendly interface on my android partiton: for desktop use I'll just boot on Windows), so for now I got back to Android-x86 8.1-rc1, even if it means I need to use my smarthpone as modem via USB tethering.

Has anyone here ever managed to solve this audio/wi-fi issues on Asus devices like the T103HAF or E200HA?

I mean, has anyone ever made a custom .ISO with the proper drivers for this products?

I too would be very interested in this, as I have an Asus 102HA and WiFi wasn't working.

Side note, what I noticed worked the best was the android-x86-6.0-r3 version, not the 64bit. Seemed to work best and wifi worked (buggy at first), however the game I wanted to play couldn't install so the newer version of Android with WiFi working is what I'm hoping for.

I'm trying Android-x86 8.1-rc2 on my Asus T103HAF and it seems the Wi-Fi is working fine, now!

Now we have atoher issues:

1) Ther's no sound at all.
2) Many apps keep crashing at launch and are 100% useless. I'm not talking about 3D games or something: I can't even start the Kindle app.

Any suggestion?

P.S.
I'm trying Android-x86 8.1-rc2 32-bit version, at the moment.

Any specific reason for that choice, given that this tablet has a 64-bit CPU?

Antony.

I could download those drivers, but how can I use it on Android?

Hi,

Well, I could try the 64-bit version. The reason why I choose the 32-bit one is previous 64 bit build I tried had issues with wi-fi. Then, an user told me the android-x86-6.0-r3 32-bit version had working wi-fi on his Asus Transofrmer book. So I tried that build and he was right: wi-fi was working only with 32-bit version (so I assumed that, for some reason, 64-bit versions not suits well for my tablet).

I could try the 64-bit version and let you know!

I tried the x64 bit version of Androidx86 8 rc2 and it worked quite well on my ASUS Transformer 102HA, as I had WiFi and also sound. Performance was spotty and could hang during setup, but rebooting and continuing worked well. Also, rotation worked and Bluetooth seems to work, however I couldn't test.

I enabled the native bridge in the settings and was able to install some things and they would work, except for Marvel Strike Force, it would crash/hang every time after loading/downloading in game.

Another thing I noticed was that if the tablet went to sleep, it would reboot.

Otherwise, this is working the best so far with this device, thank you!

Nope :/

I tried Androidx86 8 rc2 64-bit version on my T103HAF and sounds won't work.
I tried to rollback drivers. I deleted all of the partitions and I tried to install Android first and Windows later. No results. Then I deleted all once again, install Windows with the original Intel drivers, then install Androidx86. Nothing.

I still have no sound. I tried to test the sound via Bluetooth and I hear something, but the sound is popping.

Another thing that is not working is the battery sensor: it stucks at 0%

On the bright side, wi-fi is working quite well and enabling the native bridge solved all those crashing issues I had before with many apps.

Are we sure 102HA and T103HAF share the same hardware equipment? Is anything I can do to help the devolpers to dig into this?

Any help with this?

On my Asus T103HAF Androidx86 8 rc2 64-bit works except for:

- No audio (and audio via bluetooth is popping)
- No charge indicator: battery is stucks at 0%

What should I looking for to solve this?

Thank you
