For Phoenix-OS you should ask to Phoenix-OS suppliers

In android-x86 mesa gallium nouveau we have some patches to support multiple threads/mutex locking to avoid nouveau gpu freeze,
your gpu should work out-of-the-box.
Just check that you have integrated Intel gpu not concurrently enabled, as multiple gpu may not work

You may be affected by problem of some GTX 970 4 Gbyte parts which was solved in kernel 4.12

Please try experimental nougat-x86 or oreo-x86 with kernel 4.16 (filename like *k416*.iso)

Im using no HW acceleration mode, that is working for G970 and its good enough for Youtube and even some games are running.

Hi, in case you want to know if that is the problem, you could just download, live boot and see if HW acceleration is working in the Settings (OpenGL)

Necessary firmware files should be there in official 7.1r1 iso already and drm_gralloc supports nv13x parts,

so if you wrote to get some support/help please provide dmesg to at least assess the problem,

that is how Open Source communities solve the issues and you and other gtx 970 users can benefit the resolution.

how you use geforce to run android x86
