First off, Thank you so very much for releasing this, Wifi, Touch and pen all work wonderfully. The only bugs I found so far with the Q550 are below:

Wifi only supports some WPA/WPA2 setups, not all are supported.
Return from sleep locks the device on a garbled screen usually.
HW Accell is not working (I expected this one)
Rotation is not working

Other than that, this is the furthest we have gotten on this device, so I thank you :)

Hi,

All credits to the superb developers who are involved in the android-x86 build process......this is really amazing !!

I am working on getting GPS and GPRS to work on android-x86 ICS ( Version 4.0.4 ).

I basically want the GPS and GPRS to be available to android applications seamlessly as they appear in mobile phones.

The module is  Ericsson f5321, the details of integration are given here : http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/mbm/index.php?title=MBM_HAL_for_Android_Ice_Cream_Sandwich

I am done with the integration of the code in the build process and finished the compilation.

But still the network is not being seen and also the GPS by the google maps applciation..........

Can i request one of the stalwarts to please help me out.........I am reading voraciously but i think i am missing out something....

Hi,

yes this version is really really great. For me WLAN does work without any problems.
Doesn't GPRS already work? I don't have a simcard inside my Q550 but i thought it would be already working.

Is there a way to boot it up with 32 bit color and better resolution? This would be really nice. I think you can change those settings before android boots up right?

Use the tegav2 build of Android-x86 4.0-RC2.

I no longer have this device, but if I remember correctly, I did a direct install on my Windows partition.

Did you install it or did you just run it as a live OS?
