I tried running the OpenGL ES testing on Android-x86 on KVM following this instruction: https://source.android.com/devices/graphics/run-tests and downloaded the test suite from here: https://dl.google.com/dl/android/cts/android-cts-7.0_r12-linux_x86-x86.zip
I got 201 out of 17033 failed for GLES2 functional test and 891 out of 43408 failed for GLES3 functional test.

The logs are too large, so I'm only pasting the failure lines.

Are the failures expected?

Thanks,

Philip

Almost.
In fact the fail rate looks good to me. :)

You didn't mention which GPU did you test.
I guess it's software rendering (no GPU support)
unless you configured it to virgl.
Note different GPU may give you different results.

I'm using software rendering. No GPU support and no virgl.

I guess that means the result is good.

Thanks,

Philip

Yes.
But patches to improve it are welcome, of course.
Thank you for making the tests.

There is also a 7.1r8 version or Android CTS for x86

Could you please share if the commands described in AOSP website
worked as they were or if you had to change them?
Thanks

M.

The commands described in AOSP website worked and I didn't change anything.
Let me know if you have any problems.

Philip
