Hi!

Can anybody tell me, if the R-UIM card type is supported in android-x86 STK? My attempts to bring my SIM card to life, especially receiving of SMS, showed the fact, that my phone provider seems to use UIM cards. They seem to differ some how in EF file structure compared to SIM/USIM cards and so accessing the message storage is not working at the moment...

Thanks.

Hi Holger,

I am working on getting GPS and GPRS to work on android-x86 ICS ( Version 4.0.4 ).

I basically want the GPS and GPRS to be available to android applications seamlessly as they appear in mobile phones.

The module is  Ericsson f5321, the details of integration are given here : http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/mbm/index.php?title=MBM_HAL_for_Android_Ice_Cream_Sandwich

I am done with the integration of the code in the build process and finished the compilation.

But still the network is not being seen and also the GPS by the google maps applciation..........

Can i request you to please help me out.........I am reading voraciously but i think i am missing out something....

-Som

Hi Som,

as you can see, nobody answered my question and as I'm not deep enough into the android source I think I can't help you. My module is from Huawei and it works so far, regarding 3G and GPS, with the library provided in the android source and so I dropt my SMS and telephone support problem. I have no other tablet or phone device with an Ericsson module. But perhaps you find someone at modaco.com who can help you!

Sorry!

Greetz,
Holger
