Hey, I'm currently running ICS 4.0.3 on a Sony vaio Netbook (PGC-21314W) which has an Intel GMA 3150 graphics card, I wanted to know how I can get this card to run at full power and with native resolution, which 1350x768. Intel have released Linux drivers for this card but I'm too new to Android and Linux to understand how to get it to work.
Any help with this issue will be a great help!

Thank You,
Rohan Thacker

I'm also having the same problem but i'm using the android 4.2 and android 4.3 with My Lenovo S100, Intel Atom N455. It seem like the driver android x86 slow and got so many glitch. Using Ubuntu, my Intel Graphic 3150 easily get mark between PowerVR 540 to PowerVR 545. But when playing any 3d games on Android x86, it much more slower than my phone that using only PowerVR 531. Also my webcam didn't work for Android 4.3 (Android 4.04 ok). Anyone know how to install latest intel opensource driver for this?

GMA 3150 is not a PowerVR chip.
Android-x86 supports it with full hardware acceleration.
If you still feel it's slow, that's right.
It's just slow.

Check if you have correctly enabled hardware acceleration:
Settings -> About tablet -> OpenGL driver version
(only in 4.3)

What driver and where is it?
It's impossible to get updated gma3150 driver from android-ia
since Intel has stopped the development of it for a long time.

If you found one, point it out exactly.

Alas... If you want to suggest something,
make sure you understand what it is.

The android-x86 doesn't use any X window related stuff.
The only things useful to us is the kernel, mesa and libdrm.
The libdrm used in kitkat-x86 is new enough (2.4.52).
Updating kernel and mesa may be helpful to newer GPUs
like Intel Gen7/8 or AMD gpus, but I doubt it has any help
to old gpu like gma3150. My experience of talking with
Intel engineers is they refused to provide any fix
or improvement for old gpus. They only focus on new products.
Worse, newer driver or libs are usually broken on old chips.

Even said that, I'm glad to see anyone has tried them
and got good result. But I'll not push that in
until next development cycle, as have explained
in another thread.

Sorry for the small misunderstanding.
It was information re intel drivers for Alex Ivanov only.
My answer was imprecise.
