The Android Disc runs just fine on the Toshiba Satellite Laptop that I am using but when trying to install GRUB, it doesn't. I only have the Android O/S on this one, but evidently it doesn't self boot like it does on an Android Tablet of which I have several. I did get it installed from the disc, but when I did a restart, it did not start. This seems to be a common problem with a lot of people not having any luck with GRUB. Is there some way that I can make it self boot to Android each time since that is what I want to do. Seems like it should be possible. Evidently since the GRUB program did not install from the downloaded .ISO, then there doesn't seem to be a boot anywhere. Hopefully there is a solution somewhere. I was very happy with the way that it worked with the disc and everything seemed to work smoothly, but when you restart after supposedly installing the program it does not boot. I know a lot of people want to double boot to another O/S, but I don't need that and don't really want to do that. Does GRUB realized that there is not other O/S involved and that is why it refuses to install? I like my tablets, but would like to have Android boot off a powered laptop since it has plenty of ram to use. The Laptop has an i3 with 4 gig of ram so should be well compatible with Android.

Using another laptop or PC, create a bootable USB drive or a CD with Hiren's Boot CD. Boot into windows using this USB or CD. I'd suggest you to create a new ext4 partition and then install Android-x86 on it. If u install Android-x86 on a ntfs partition, it has GRUB Issues. Same happened with me. I installed it on existing ntfs partition and the grub showed error 15 after a night.
If u need more help, feel free to ask.

And about the RAM, I have 6GB RAM. But Android uses only 3GB of it. Means that the maximum RAM Android OS uses is 3GB (on my device, may or may not vary with your device). Idk what the real issue is. But I found out that the total RAM in Android OS was 3GB
